I’m Rachel! Thank you so much for stopping by my profile to hear about my story and learn a little about me as a prospective parent.

I have the utmost dignity and respect for you as you consider the best option for your baby. I teach bravery and courage for a living and I deeply appreciate the bravery and considerations in this decision you are weighing. If I am the right fit for you, I promise you that a child will always know who you are. You will be spoken of with care and respect daily.

I was born in a small rural town in Connecticut, growing up among lakes and forests and visiting the ocean where my grandmother lived. I grew up in a loving home — my parents are still lovingly married to this day. My brother and I are close, and as children, we would spend our days playing outside, going fishing, and spending time swimming. So much of our days – all seasons!- were spent outdoors. Growing up not far from Boston, our family would often go into the city to see Faneuil Hall, a Red Sox game, or just explore the waterfront....

I have been an avid reader since I was a child. I loved school and used to come up with fake “tests” in my playtime. As an adult, I have channeled that love of teaching, reading and learning in my role as an executive coach and leadership development facilitator. My work introduces me to people from places such as Rwanda, Kenya and Paris, to NYC, DC, and Boston. I love the variety of people I interact with but more importantly, the impact my work has on others. I am able to teach them effective emotional intelligence, communication, courage and...

I live in a suburb in the Washington DC area. I have the best of both worlds – the city close by, and a single family home that feels like the country! I fell in love with this house when I purchased it several years ago, and always imagined raising a child here. The front porch is dreamy - I love decorating it for the summer, fall, and holidays. It will be so fun to do this with a child. There is a large porch swing and rocking chairs – perfect for a rainy day!

I have an amazing family and friend base that is beyond excited to welcome, love and cherish a little one. My parents have been married for almost 50 years and distilled a strong sense of love, family and hard work. They are very excited to be grandparents again. My mother is known as the neighborhood baby whisperer and my father is ready to spend time with a little one. They are about four hours away and are ready to dote on a child!

My brother and sister-in-law live here in the same state, and we see each other...

Oh, where to start with my sweet girl Moxie? She is a senior cocker spaniel, who I rescued almost 10 years ago. Like her human mama (me), she loves to be outside – as you can see from all the smiles. Yes, she does really smile a lot!

Moxie is my canine soulmate. She is friendly, outgoing, loving, lowkey, contemplative and just wants to be around her humans - preferably sleeping against a human leg.
